Study: Salt Water Contaminated

A new study published in the British newspaper "The Guardian" revealed that a large proportion of salt water in many countries of the world are contaminated with plastic.

This study renews the experts' fears that plastic particles will become widespread "in all the seas of the world", which may pollute the environment and contaminate our meals.

The study showed that small particles of plastic were found in tap water in the United Kingdom, France, Spain, as well as China and the United States.

Researchers believe that this water pollution is caused by plastic "used once", such as water bottles, soft drinks and products that make up the majority of plastic waste.

According to the United Nations, up to 12.7 million tons of plastic enter the world's oceans each year, which is equivalent to dumping a plastic garbage truck in all the oceans of the world within a minute of time.

Experts say the very small plastic particles are less than 5 millimeters in diameter, warning of their danger to human organs, especially the intestines.
